How to work a toggle clasp?
I'm new to jewelry making (loving it though!), so I recently bought some toggle clasps. I figured, they'd make a nice piece look even more elegant, with this style. But I'm wondering, is it just me, or are toggle clasps really that hard to work? Luckily my necklace is just a cord and some beads, so the cord isn't full and I can pull some of that through the hole. But is there an easier way? A trick to this, so if the jewelry IS full of beads? And yes, I know the bar goes through the hole by sliding it sideways, but it still won't go through... Any help, thanks.

I assume your just crimping. Is your wire extra stiff? The toggle should have a ring under the bar for you to crimp your wire on. You shouldn't be crimping so close that you can't move the wire on the ring. Then you can flatten your bar along the side of your beads and slip it into the ring and straighten. The bar crosses the ring and the jewelry will not come off by accident. I hop I explained it well enough. Please contact me if I was unclear. Let me know if you succeed.
