People always want to see inside my studio. There is something special about a creative workspace. Kind of magical in it's own way. My studio is filled with images, a few hundred pounds of coloured glass, cool tools, funky equipment and a huge assortment of beads.

This is my bench. I use a Nortel Mid-Range with an Oxygen Concentrator.  There is a big exhaust hood with an Elicent fan above me to take all the fumes away.  My faithful Kiln is to my right.

The glass rack is to the left. Filled with Effetre/Moretti rods from the island of Murano, Italy. These folks have been making glass since the Renaissance and inherited their tradition from the Roman Empire. I love playing with this palette of colour.

Canning jars hold some of my handmade frit blends. I heat small gathers of glass and drop the molten glass into cold water. The thermal shock shatters the glass into small pieces and produces a cool sizzling sound. Generally I mix the colours as I go, adding different colours till I get the desired shade. I dry the frit on top of my kiln and store it until needed. This is a great way to practice 'Zero Waste' as I can easily use scrap glass in this process.
